Club Supporters Scarf Available for Purchase

The club has purchased supporter scarf's to sell as a fundraiser. The cost is only $12.50. The monies from this fundraiser will help the club keep the costs down with running the program. Every year the cost of playing the sport seems to go up. Everything from equipment costs, field usage fees, carding packet fees, referee fees (Starting next fall U11 & U12 will also have a 3 man system), and tournament costs keep soaring up. For the last 15 years the club has only raised registration costs once in the amount of $10. It is getting harder and harder to keep this fee as is. Purchasing one of these scarf's will not only help the club but what a great way to support your son or daughters team. Wear them draped around your neck, twirl them like a towel, or hold them high over your head when they score or make a great play.

Special Thanks

Warren United would like to thank John Falco for his years as a volunteer coach. Due to work and family commitments John has stepped down from coaching the U16 Blue Angels team. John does not have a daughter on the team but gave his time to help out the club. We appreciated his help. 

Assistant coach Marc Pasquini has been appointed the new head coach. Thank you Marc for taking the reins.  Sarah Jayne a past Warren United Player has also volunteered to help out and be an assistant coach for the team.

Warren United is working with All Sports to re-open our club store. We are working out the details with them and hope to have a late February opening. Please check back for details.

F-License Course

Warren United will be hosting an F-License coaching course on February 26th and 27th. If you are interested in taking this course please contact our club rep at flicense.wusc@hotmail.com Participates must be at least 14 years old. This license will allow a person to coach any youth recreational or travel team. We are in need of younger coaches especially for teams under 10 years old.

Spring Team List Uploaded

I hope everyone has a safe and fun New Year. We have created the team pages for the Spring 2010 season. These can be viewed in our team area. Most links go to a construction page at this time. Once we receive the new roster forms back from the coaches we will update and activate the roster links. The Game Schedule, Flighting Page and Directions Pages will be updated once MCYSA post them. We hope that all have a great and fun Spring Season. 

Your coach should be contacting you shortly about filling out and submitting the paperwork for the Spring season. This only pertains to new players from the fall and new teams for the spring. Returning teams that played in the fall 2009 season and that are already carded do not need to fill these out again.

Field Scheduler Change

Our Field Scheduler Marco Fernandez has stepped down from the position. The Club and Board would like to thank Marco for his work in this challenging position. The board has appointed George Anderson as his replacement for the up coming Spring season. Thank you George for stepping up to take the job. It is greatly appreciated.

Registration Paperwork

 This paperwork must be filled out and returned ASAP to your coach.. Here is a list of items that you will be receiving and what you need to give to your coach. If you need a copy of the form please click on its name below to download it. They are in a PDF Acrobat Reader format. 

Player Membership FormFill out everything above the line starting with League. Player and a Parent must also print and sign their names below the release towards the bottom.

Medical Release FormFill out complete. You must get it notarized before you return it.

Sage FormYou must read this form and have each member of your family who is planning on attending the games sign the bottom.

Parental / Guardian Concent Form - This form is to agree with posting your child’s photo on our photo section web site. We insist of our volunteer photographers that no caption containing any part of the player’s names be included on site under the pictures. (If you are interested in taking pictures and posting them on the site please let me know).

Copy of your Birth Certificate – Your coach may have a copy from the previous year. If not please supply a new copy.

Small Photo – This will go on the player pass. The photo must be a recent. (Mini Photo's you get in the school picture packet work the best)

Club Fee – Please also include the club fee of $90.00.  Check is to be made out to Warren United Soccer Club not the coach.

Over 40 Draw in Final

Our Over 40 Men's team tied 1 - 1 against Bridgewater I on Thursday night. They are Co-Champs. Great job gentlemen.

Advertising Help Needed

Coaches and Parents, we are looking for any individual or individuals that would be willing to help us with spreading information about the club. We are looking for someone who can contact local newspapers, have signs and fliers made. We hope to inform the public about the club, our tryouts, and when our home games are. Another thought was maybe weekly club updates sent to the local newspapers. Any idea's would be welcome. The Club is proud to announce that our U10 Boys (Strikers), U12 Boys (Knights) and our U13 Girls (Blue Wave) have won their Flights this past Spring. Each team pages has a photo section. Parents who have a digital camera can upload their teams game photos they may have taken at the game to the web. Feedback Form

Again as a reminder to all parents and players that we have a feedback form available on the web for your use. The link is located to the left and is labeled Feedback Form. We encourage you to please use this form. The form can be used to send us your comments, suggestions, complaints and requests. A copy of the contents will be emailed out to our board members to view. As board members of the club our only link to your approval of what the club is doing is at our monthly meetings with the coaches. They can not always make the meetings so any concerns that parents may have we may not receive. By using this feedback form we will be able to tell if we are running the club up to your expectations. This information will also be useful to your coach on your approval of his efforts to run your child's team. The submission can be done anonymously  since the email is sent our by the web server and not you directly. If we hit reply it will only be sent back to the server. If you would like or require a response to the content then please put your email address or phone # in the box following that request. Remember this is not required. 

Your comments will be greatly appreciated so please take the time to send us something.

Club Registration fee increased

Due to the rising cost with of running a soccer club we were forced to raise our club registration fee. The club registration fee starting this fall will be $90.00 per player. The club has not had a increase in its registration free for over  9 years now. We strive to keep the cost of participating in Warren United to a minimum. Hopefully the economy will settle down and this will be the only increase for a while.

Festival in the Borough

         

Warren United was well represented at the Festival in the Borough this weekend. Our 1st attempt with this sort of thing was a great success in spreading the word on our club. A special thanks goes out to Sam, CJ, and Taylor (see photo above) for the great face paint and work they did helping us out.  The board would also like to thank all the other volunteers for the time they gave to help. They were on hand to answer any questions, give out magnets, and hand out tryout fliers. Great work Joe and Andrea putting this together.
