Become a Warren United Volunteer Coach
Warren United coaches are volunteers that do not receive any money for their time. You should enjoy working with kids and have some knowledge of or have played soccer in the past. You will need to be available during the seasons on weekends for games. (Mostly Sunday but some Saturday's may be needed). You must be willing to drive as far as a 1 1/2 hr's from home for away games. (Most are about one hour or less) You will also need to be available at least 3 week nights for practices. Practices can start before and sometimes continue after daylight savings time. Starting as early as 4:30 or 5:00 may be needed for a short period. Most practices start at 5:30 pm or 6:00 pm. Some teams also may elect to participate in indoor soccer over the winter months. You will also be the teams manager unless a parent volunteers to help.
To become a Warren United Coach you need to do the following.
1) Have a New Jersey Youth Soccer coaching license - You need the minimum "F" coaching license. A higher license of an "E" or "D" is preferred for middle and high school age but not required.
2) Contact the club board - You can contact the board by clicking this link or using the link in our contact us link located in the left side bar. Please include your contact information, your past experience and any references you feel may help us in choosing you as a coach. A board representative will contact you back either by email or by phone. They will discuss coaching with you and will be available for you to ask any questions. When you both are comfortable with you being a coach they will contact the other board members to discuss your participation.
